Hello, I’m Virginia Walton.
Light of the World Ministries is a family ministry dedicated to bringing light to the hearts of many through the word of God in a world that so desperately longs to find answers to their daily struggles. How can anyone be called to something so humbling? It all began with a loving mother whom I watch give so much having so little to all in her path. Watching her and being involved in her life inspired me to give the same love to the Father and in raising my own family. With all the challenges in the world that went against anything I could ever teach my children, I leaned on the Lord. Through His wonderful guidance and teachings, God created a family, through many sacrifices, that could bring hope to a dark world. As I spent time with others teaching them and helping them make better choices in order that they may strengthen their own relationship with God, it inspired me and it placed a desire within my heart a need for Light of the World Ministries. Loving the Father is more than just words; it is a life lived out for all to see, and portraying that to others is just what our Lord requires.
Light of the World Ministries is a resource for anyone seeking to strengthen and better their relationship with Christ. Married couples facing challenges can learn how to grow together through Spirit-filled teachings in the word of God. In my thirty-five years of marriage, I have learned that we have more power and control in relationships than we may think, and the way we handle our relationships can make them so much better. Young adults can learn to stay faithful and true to the Master by praying and waiting on the mate God has for them. Though many are going in a different direction, we teach that young adults can be healthy, holy, and untouched by the world’s “rush to nowhere” attitude. Those struggling with addictions and peer pressure will be lovingly guided by the word of God. Failures come because we try to change ourselves but we teach that only God can change a heart. Those who suffer with low self-esteem will find that the Lord never condemns anyone so neither should anyone else condemn them. We encourage all to live by the standard of God’s love to wait and not the standard of the world’s love to rush into something that may fall short of what God has for them.
